Meet our Team

Hello!

We have all navigated our own non-linear careers and look forward to helping you do the same.

Lisa Unwin

Co-founder & CEO
Lisa is our co-founder and CEO. She began her career in management consulting, becoming a partner in Arthur Andersen, specialising in leadership, communication and change management. She later became Director of Brand and Communication at Deloitte.

Following her own six year career break, Lisa founded She’s Back to raise awareness of the untapped potential in professional women who have taken career breaks. She is the co-author of She’s Back: Your Guide to Returning to Work, described by Arianna Huffington as a “must have guide to get more women back into the workplace.” Lisa co-founded the Reignite Academy in 2018 and is actively involved in all day to day recruitment, training and coaching work.

Melinda Wallman

Co-founder & Director
Melinda Wallman is one of the leading legal search consultants in the London market and the best known for the placement of senior women. A former corporate lawyer, she moved into search in 1997. She focuses on law firm partner / team representation. She has placed partners and teams with most AmLaw 100 and UK top 20 law firms, including women returning to the law after career breaks.

Melinda is passionate about helping women and minorities to achieve their career goals. In addition to search, Melinda works widely in the diversity and inclusion space. Melinda has run her XX Advantage network since 2009 as a way to connect female lawyers and to help them to achieve their career goals. She is the Vice-Chair-International of the Women in Law Empowerment Forum and launched the London chapter in 2015.

Alicia Roscoe

Careers Consultant
Alicia originally trained as a lawyer with Lawrence Graham before moving to a role as an account manager for a sports management agency. Like many Reignite candidates her career took a non-linear path, incorporating events management, training as a yoga instructor, forming her own wellness platform and becoming a brand ambassador for Lulu Lemon.

In 2021 she connected with The Reignite Academy and was immediately inspired by their work, values, and mission. Alicia joined The Reignite as a Careers Consultant in November 2021.

Tanja Spittal

Director and Careers Consultant
Tanja is a solicitor by trade- having trained at the City firm Taylor Wessing. She qualified into litigation but not being at all litigious, she moved after 3 years into legal recruitment. Tanja took a career break to raise her family, during which time she retrained as a personal development and career coach and established her own business Tanja Spittal Career Coaching.

When Tanja heard about the Reignite Academy through Stephanie Dillon in 2019, she realised this was an opportunity to combine all her skills and experience. She is now a careers consultant and interviews and places returning lawyers into City firms. Tanja also plays a vital role as a coach during the first few months of our candidates’ time back at work and is our main day to day point of contact during those early days of transition.
