Who should apply

The Reginite Academy is open to qualified lawyers who are looking to return to City law firms after a career hiatus of 18 months or more.

The programme is for people who have qualified with City/US firms and who are now currently not working, as well as those who are currently under-employed and working below their potential inside or outside of the profession.

What locations are on offer?

The programme will run in the London offices of participating firms

Do I need to be an alumni of one of the founding firms?

No. We are interested to hear from people who have trained in any City firms.

What is the length of the programme?

The programme begins in January and will last for 6 months.

What levels of remuneration can I expect?

Salary and benefits will be determined by the individual firms and will also depend on the level of seniority and experience of the candidate.

Will I work for just one firm or all six?

Successful candidates will be employed by one of the six firms involved and will have a contract with that firm.

What training will be provided?

We are developing a comprehensive training programme which will be tailored to meet the needs of the individuals involved. This training will include technical, legal topics; ways of working and productivity tools; and soft skills areas relevant for those returning after a break.

The programme will also include one to one coaching and regular coaching with the full cohort involved in the programme.

Are flexible working options available?

Some roles will be available on a 4 day a week basis, others will be full time. Flexible working options depend on the specific role and the individual firm.

Candidates will be asked to select which area(s) of expertise they are interested in and will be able to upload their CV.Please don’t worry if your CV is not perfect – we will provide you with support on creating a terrific CV.

The interview process will involve a supportive first round interview seeking to assess your strengths and career aspirations. Those successful at first round will be invited to a Career Bootcamp to be held in early November, before being presented to the appropriate and relevant client of the six founding member firms.
